What turns up, video or photo, can be viewed right there, watermarked. Claim a free one in the app, or buy a paid one, and the clean file lands in your camera roll. You can send whoever filmed it a one-tap thank-you from the app.

There may be nobody filming your break today. A wave from a day you never logged stays unfindable, though — even if someone did film it.

One tap going out, one coming in. After that it is automatic — session, spot, conditions, time. The log is also a year: sessions counted, your best one, month by month, and which breaks you actually surf.

Going out, coming in — that is the whole job, and the rest is written for you. You can also let the session start by itself when you reach the beach. That one is off until you turn it on: nothing records you behind your back.
Start and finish from the watch
On Apple Watch you can open a session and close it without touching anything else in the water. Pairing it the first time, and launching it once on the iPhone, still take the phone.
Your 2026, counted
Sessions, your best one, month by month, and the breakdown by break. It fills from the first session you log. Days you did not log are not in it either.
Say you want filming
Post that you are paddling out, before you go. If someone with a camera does turn up at that break, that is what they see first. Where there are filmers to pick from, you can choose who you want and ask only them, with a note on how to spot you (board or wetsuit colour). There is no filming fee.
Today’s session is the first line. Tomorrow, today’s is already gone.
